THE LODGE AT BLUE SKY, AUBERGE RESORTS COLLECTION
WHY WE WANT TO BOOK IT: For a low-profile mountain moment that’s intimately connected with the land. The Lodge at Blue Sky is just outside Park City, but a world away from the cluttered slopes. Set on 3,500 acres, the retreat includes a horse sanctuary, organic farm, and miles of hiking, biking, and riding trails; in short, the complete back-to-nature experience. Gracie’s Farm is the agricultural heart of the property, with a half-day hands-on tour and an ingredient-led Farm Dinner series. You’ll also find Guy Ritchie’s WildKitchen, an epicurean outpost where local Utah trout and elk are served alongside freshly harvested produce. Check out the hotel website or read the full review by photographer Ernesto Roman.
MICHELBERGER FARM
WHY WE WANT TO BOOK IT: Because we know this is the real deal. Tucked into the Spreewald Biosphere Reserve, just outside town, the countryside sister to Berlin’s coolest address, the Michelberger Hotel, is a minimalist, 12-room stay that oozes soul and a deep connection to the land. Tom and Nadine Michelberger, our crush hoteliers, and their team have spent the last six years cultivating a 3.7-acre food forest, where biodiversity, regenerative farming, and shared learning shape both the farm and the experience. Designed by Sigurd Larsen, the red-brick barn hosts field-to-fork meals featuring homegrown veg and local meat and dairy. Keep an eye out for their fun summer parties. This is one of our latest hotel reviews on A Hotel Life and we couldn’t be more excited.
RANCHO LA PUERTA
WHY WE WANT TO BOOK IT: For a total reset. Rancho La Puerta’s premier (and pioneering) weeklong programs are renowned for their holistic benefits for body, mind, soul and the Earth. The Mexican ranch is an expansive, fully functioning organic farm where hiking trails may bring you face-to-face with the free-roaming goats, part of the larger focus on ecological agriculture. Cooking classes and farm-to-table dinners at La Cocina Que Canta incorporate produce, herbs, eggs, and goat milk sourced straight from the grounds. This summer, locals get a special break: from June 28 to September 6, 2025, guests can come and go on their own schedule (a rarity here), stay as few as two nights, and enjoy 10% off. Check it out before you check in.
BEACH PLUM FARM COTTAGES
WHY WE WANT TO BOOK IT: For a complete pastoral fantasy. Beach Plum’s collection of cottages is set on a working farm just minutes outside of the ever-popular coastal city of Cape May. Accommodations range from 18th-century homes to handcrafted Amish-style barns. Fresh produce and local goods are on sale at the market and the season’s flavors are plated up at the ongoing Harvest Dinner Series. You can visit the chickens in the morning for fresh eggs and, when looking from a break from farm life, the beach club is just a short shuttle away. Check it out before you check in.
VICEROY AT OMBRIA ALGARVE
WHY WE WANT TO BOOK IT: For when you want to trade the coastal crowds for inland calm. Newly opened in the rolling hills of the Algarve region, this remote stay is slow living with high standards. Viceroy at Ombria Algarve leans into the region’s agricultural roots, found in the surrounding citrus groves and scattered fig and olive trees. An onsite plant nursery is dedicated to the conservation of local biodiversity, raising indigenous species to be planted around the grounds. With a village feel, a vibrant local wine culture, and welcome perks like an impressive spa, this is the kind of place we’d go when we want to leave the real world behind but keep all the little luxuries. Check it out before you check in.
