Choice Hotels Asia-Pac is bringing back its fundraising campaign Check-in for Charity, in support of the Alannah and Madeline Foundation.

During the fundraising week, from 11 to 17 August 2025, more than 170 properties within the Choice network across Australia and New Zealand will donate $2 from every stay to support the Foundation’s mission to keep children and young people free from violence and trauma wherever they live, learn and play.

“We’re proud of the commitment our franchisees show to being community minded and fostering a fulfilled and engaged workforce. Our partnership with the Alannah & Madeline Foundation, supporting the work they do to protect children, means so much to us,” said Choice Hotels Asia-Pac CEO, Trent Fraser.

“Many of our hotels, whether in metropolitan, suburban or regional areas, are family owned and operated, and with so many families choosing to stay with us, supporting a cause that champions children’s safety and wellbeing is something we care deeply about.

“Beyond fundraising, Choice Hotels team members continue to roll up their sleeves to help pack Buddy Bags for the Foundation – backpacks filled with essential items for vulnerable children in crisis across Australia. It’s initiatives like these that make a real difference in the community, and we’re committed to supporting this vital work.”

In 2024, Choice Hotels Asia-Pac raised more than $50,000 through its Check-in for Charity initiative in Australia, in addition to funds in New Zealand for Cystic Fibrosis NZ.

Alongside franchisee fundraising, Choice Hotels makes a corporate contribution to support the effort.
