The deadline for entries to the hotel industry’s most celebrated awards has been extended by one week, to 11.59pm Sunday September 7, giving additional time to nominate deserving individuals, hotels and hospitality groups.

Now in its 23rd year, HM Awards recognises personal and company excellence across Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.

Each year, more than 1,800 nominations are assessed to determine worthy winners across more than 40 categories. Nomination is free once again this year.

This year’s winners will be announced at the 2025 HM Awards Aotearoa-Pacific ceremony at Cordis Auckland on Friday October 31 and then at the 2025 HM Awards Australasia Pacific gala presentation evening at The Fullerton Hotel Sydney on Friday 21 November 2025.

This year sees the addition of one additional General Awards category, Human Resources Initiative, which will see an Australian winner crowned in Sydney and a New Zealand-Pacific winner awarded in Auckland.

This award recognises an outstanding human resources initiative or program within a hotel chain or individual property, recognising excellence in hiring and nurturing talent, training and development, employee wellbeing, diversity and creating stellar career opportunities.
