Christchurch-based Brook Serene Hotel Management is celebrating a standout year of international recognition, with its boutique portfolio earning top honours at the 32nd Annual World Travel Awards and several other global hospitality accolades.
At the World Travel Awards 2025, Brook Serene properties claimed three major titles:-
Oceania’s Leading Luxury Hotel Villa 2025 – The Residence @ The George, Christchurch.
New Zealand’s Leading Boutique Hotel 2025 – The George, Christchurch.
New Zealand’s Leading Lodge 2025 – Hulbert House, Queenstown.
The awards reinforce Brook Serene’s position among the leaders in boutique and luxury accommodation in Australasia. Notably, The Residence @ The George will now contend for the title of World’s Leading Luxury Villa 2025, placing it in the running for one of the highest distinctions in global hospitality.

Beyond the World Travel Awards, the group’s properties also earned accolades from other respected international programmes:-
Hulbert House, Queenstown was named Best Boutique Hotel 2025 – New Zealand at the LuxLife Hospitality Excellence Awards, and Boutique Hotel of the Year – Otago 2025 at the Oceania Travel & Hospitality Awards.
Regent of Rotorua was recognised as Best Luxury City Centre Hotel 2025 – North Island by the Leaders in Luxury Awards.
The George, Christchurch was also ranked #10 Best Hotel in New Zealand in the Travel + Leisure Awards 2025.
