The historic Hotel Bellinzona in Hepburn Springs, Daylesford, has become part of Club Wyndham South Pacific – a statement of the continuing and enduring popularity of vacation ownership.

The September purchase of the 122-year-old Hotel Bellinzona in Hepburn Springs, Daylesford, by Travel + Leisure Co. – the world leader in vacation ownership – generated plenty of buzz across the accommodation industry.

The iconic property is a favourite among travellers visiting the nation’s spa capital. Its 43 suites are celebrated for their timeless yet contemporary design, bespoke artwork and modern furnishings. Gourmet food from Virgin Kitchen is renowned, as is the Lobby Bar’s baroque ambience.

Now called Club Wyndham Bellinzona Hepburn Springs, Daylesford, the property is available to Club Wyndham South Pacific owners and the public. It broadens the wellness experiences available to club owners, and even comes with a touch of stardust, having featured on The Block this year.

The property follows the club’s acquisition of Club Wyndham Mission Beach (formerly Castaways) and interests in 11 Australia and New Zealand vacation ownership resorts – all in 2025.

It’s Club Wyndham South Pacific’s 25th anniversary and, arguably, 2025 is its biggest year to date – a statement that vacation ownership has evolved to be as relevant now as when it launched in Australia in 2000.

This comes as shared ownership continues to rise in popularity – particularly in Asia – where the concept has jumped from private flights and rideshare into markets like fashion, art, and luxury homes. Younger people are realising it gives them access without obligations like management and depreciation.

Club Wyndham South Pacific’s credits-based system always offered more flexibility than traditional timeshare but, now, owners have ever-increasing ways to use their credits outside their club. Additional memberships open up exchange resorts worldwide, the Wyndham Hotels & Resorts portfolio, and the option to develop bespoke trips.

These expanded options have created availability within club resorts for the public to book and experience club life firsthand.

Finally, the Travel + Leisure Co. mixed-use model has integrated vacation ownership and hotel inventory within the same properties, contributing to staff, expenses and common area improvements. The concept has the dual benefit of growing the club’s portfolio faster while giving Travel + Leisure Co. more influence over guests’ experiences.
