April 14, 2025 (London, England) – Agilysys, Inc. (Nasdaq: AGYS), a leading global provider of hospitality software solutions and services, is proud to announce its new partnership with Hospitality Action, the UK’s leading charity supporting hospitality workers in times of crisis. This alliance underscores Agilysys’ commitment to not only serving the industry with cutting-edge technology but also supporting the people at the heart of hospitality.
Founded in 1837, Hospitality Action provides financial, practical, and emotional assistance to hospitality professionals facing challenges such as financial hardship, mental health struggles, and long-term illness. The charity has been instrumental in responding to the sector’s evolving needs, offering lifelines to workers during industry-wide crises and beyond. Since the beginning of 2020, Hospitality Action has made a substantial impact: spending over £5 million in financial support, awarding more than 15,000 grants, answering over 38,000 helpline calls, and delivering almost 12,000 counselling sessions. Through these efforts, they have supported tens of thousands of industry professionals and their families during difficult times.
This partnership marks a significant milestone as Agilysys becomes one of the first hospitality technology providers to formally partner with Hospitality Action, reflecting the company’s unique position as a 100% hospitality-focused organisation. While many vendors serve multiple industries, Agilysys’ exclusive focus on hospitality makes this collaboration a natural extension of its commitment to the sector’s long-term health and sustainability.
“At Agilysys, we understand that hospitality is about people,” said Kathrin Cockhill, Senior Business Development, Agilysys. “The industry thrives on the dedication of its workforce, and our technology is designed to empower operators to deliver seamless and personalised guest experiences. But behind every booking, every service, and every exciting moment of hospitality, there are individuals who sometimes need support. Partnering with Hospitality Action allows us to contribute to the wellbeing of those who make this industry exceptional.”
As part of this partnership, Agilysys will sponsor key Hospitality Action initiatives, including the upcoming Taking the Temperature survey, which provides critical insights into the wellbeing of hospitality professionals. Additionally, Agilysys will sponsor and participate in key events such as Walk for Wellbeing and the Summer Cycle Challenge, reinforcing its long-term commitment to the sector. With hospitality businesses still navigating economic uncertainty, these initiatives are more crucial than ever, ensuring workers receive the support they need to continue delivering outstanding guest experiences.
“Hospitality Action and Agilysys are dedicated to improving the lives of those who work in our industry,” said Mark Lewis, Chief Executive, Hospitality Action. “We understand the difficulties facing the hospitality workforce and strive to make a positive impact in people’s lives. I am looking forward to working in partnership this year, starting with our annual Mental Health Survey in May, to support and protect the people at the heart of hospitality, whom we both proudly serve.”
This collaboration with Hospitality Action reinforces Agilysys’ commitment to supporting the industry it exclusively serves. How we help
Behind their smiles and slick service hospitality workers can fall upon hard times just like anybody else. Ours is a stressful industry, with long hours, high pressure environments and physically demanding work. Since 1837 we’ve been here for chefs, waiters, housekeepers and managers. We’ve been here for concierges, receptionists, and kitchen porters. And we’ve been here for every sommelier, bartender, catering assistant and cook throughout the UK.
The last four years have been transformational for our industry, the people who work within it and for Hospitality Action too. We were one of the first UK charities to mount an emergency response to the Covid- 19 pandemic in 2020 and we kept pace with the stop-start nature of re-opening as each wave triggered business closures and increasingly unpredictable employment patterns. Our grant-giving, advisory services and EAP provision continue to evolve to meet the ever-changing demands of the industry in the face of the cost-of-living crisis.
Since the start of the pandemic in 2020, the charity has awarded more than 15,000 hardship grants totalling over £5 million to hospitality households across the UK, answered 38,000+ helpline calls and delivered 11,300+ counselling sessions. Whatever you do in hospitality #wevegotyou
