Alivio Group has unveiled a multi-million-dollar transformation and rebrand of the former Sunshine Tower Hotel in Cairns.
The 61-room at 136 Sheridan Street, now known as Alivio Hotel Cairns, has been updated to a contemporary corporate and leisure offering following a two-year refurbishment.

“Our vision was to create a space that combines contemporary elegance with the natural beauty of Cairns, offering a memorable stay for both corporate and leisure travellers. We believe we have achieved this and more,” said Alivio Group Managing Director, Mark Whitby.
The refreshed design reflects the city’s natural heritage and tropical surroundings.

Guest rooms, focused on comfort and high-quality furnishings, offer views of the gardens, pool, or mountains.
The hotel’s entrance and lobby have been redesigned into a sophisticated and welcoming space, alongside The Lobby Bar and Kitchen – an on-site restaurant and cocktail bar open seven days a week for breakfast.

All common areas have been refreshed with distinctive photographic feature walls and a 100kW solar system has been installed.

The Mediterranean-inspired pool area features lush surrounds and vibrant, cushioned sun loungers.
Alivio Group is a growing collection of hotels and tourist parks in Canberra, Brisbane and Cairns.
