Choice Hotels Asia-Pac has joined forces with Extended Stay Australasia – owners of Aligned Corporate Residences (ACR) and Corporate Living Accommodation (CLA) – to bring upper midscale brand MainStay Suites to Australia.
Marking the brand’s first launch outside of North America, with seven property conversions across Australia, the collaboration aims to meet a demand for flexible long-stay accommodation offerings, with plans to expand into key regional hubs and transport corridors.
The seven properties to join the Choice Hotels’ portfolio are located in Whyalla, South Australia, Townsville and Mackay in Queensland and Hawthorn, Kew Abbotsford and Williamstown in Victoria.

MainStay Suites is focused on delivering the comforts of an apartment and the convenience of a hotel with fully equipped kitchens, spacious living areas, laundry facilities, and dedicated workspaces. Guests include Fly-In Fly-Out (FIFO) workers, healthcare professionals, and relocating families.
Extended Stay Australasia will manage operations, bringing decades of experience in the extended stay segment and region.

The expansion into the extended stay segment, builds on Choice Hotels Asia-Pac’s portfolio of midscale, upscale, and economy offerings.
All MainStay Suites properties will participate in Choice Privileges loyalty program.
