Hind Management has announced several key leadership appointments in its team after celebrating its 25th anniversary earlier this year.

Hind Management is the specialist hotel and hospitality management company behind the consumer-facing, award-winning Sudima Hotels brand, which includes seven hotels across the New Zealand. Hind Management’s diversified offerings include premium wellness experiences and award-winning dining venues, and it also manages properties under international brands.

The group welcomes Nicola Lynch to Hind Management in the new role of Chief Marketing Officer, from 6 October 2025.

Ms. Lynch brings in-depth international and local senior leadership experience in brand, marketing, and communications across a diverse portfolio, with a track record of driving revenue growth. She has led high-impact marketing strategies across various industries, including financial services, telco, not for profit and start-ups. Previous leadership and management roles range from nib NZ – Health Insurance and Ronald McDonald House Charities NZ through to Spark NZ and Southern Cross Health Society.  

Nicola will play a key role in leading the group’s strategic marketing direction. Her remit includes strengthening brand presence, deepening engagement, and supporting journey of care, collaboration, and sustainability.

Expanded Role

In other appointments, Chief Sustainability Officer Kanika Jhunjhnuwala has been promoted to the expanded role of Chief Strategy and Sustainable Growth Officer, Hind Management.

The role integrates strategic planning, business transformation and ESG to achieve the company’s strategic priorities while ensuring that Hind Management’s impact on both the community and the planet remains positive and lasting. The company’s award-winning ESG work, which Ms. Jhunjhnuwala has led, is foundational to the new position.

Sudima Hotels has established itself as an industry leader in sustainable hospitality and tourism. Among her more recent initiatives, Ms Jhunjhnuwala launched the Hotel Sustainability Alliance Aotearoa (HSAA) Group, enabling hotels to participate in and collaborate on sustainability, and is a regular speaker on ESG at local and international industry events.

Having lived in Asia, the Americas and New Zealand, Ms Jhunjhnuwala has a global lens to implementation of sustainable hospitality and tourism. She has a background in physics and environmental engineering and has undertaken environmental economic academic research.

Ms Jhunjhnuwala says, “Sustainability underpins Sudima Hotels’ business model and I’m excited to have this opportunity to step up, draw on my credentials, and make a difference at the forefront of the company’s strategic future direction. Our goal is to lead the way in regenerative hospitality and leave the world in a better position than when we started.”

People & Culture

In other Hind management appointments, Director of Workplace Experience, Christine Hurring, is promoted to Director of People & Culture.

Christine Hurring has held the title of Director of Workplace Experience and been with Hind Management for six years and has consistently led with care, empathy, and a strong people-first mindset. Ms. Hurring has strengthened leadership pathways, embedded practices that foster diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, and championed initiatives that position Hind Management as an employer of choice within the hospitality industry.

Christine’s commitment to these values has contributed to Hind Management being recognised as a finalist in the 2025 TIA awards under Employer of Choice, reflecting the organisation’s ongoing dedication to creating exceptional workplaces and experiences for both team members and guests.
