From humble beginnings, the story of Ozone Hospitality and Linen Services began in 2017 when two former porters, Dulanka and Cham, decided to venture out on their own. Since then, Ozone CEO Dulanka and Director of Operations Cham have gone from strength to strength.
With a housekeeping partner network that now spans 95 hotels across Australia, Singapore, and New Zealand, the pair has taken what they describe as the obvious next step: linen and laundry services. After a careful and meticulous 12-month trial in Brisbane with the famed Rambla sites, Ozone Linen Services has officially entered the market.
Recognizing the clear synergy between housekeeping and linen services, Ozone Linen Services was created to complement the well-established Ozone Hospitality Services. The hospitality division currently provides housekeeping services to renowned hotels such as the 517-key Mercure Sydney, Voco & Indigo Brisbane, Emporium Southbank, Hyde Melbourne Place, The Victoria Hotel, Novotel on Collins, and Fraser Suites Sydney.
Always an early adopter of technology with a focus on efficiency, Ozone’s laundry facilities utilize automation to collect data and streamline the washing process. This investment ensures smoother operations for both Ozone and its partners.
With an ambitious goal to significantly reduce rewash rates and rejected linen, Ozone aims to halve industry norms. Speaking about this vision, CEO Dulanka shared: “Most linen providers cater to a myriad of industries, with hospitals often being their largest clients. We’ve established our business with a hotel-first approach, meaning that all our focus is on hotels. We want to stand out now and into the future by dedicating all our energy and development to improving services for our hospitality clients.”
Currently servicing South-East Queensland, Ozone Linen Services is planning to expand its facilities to New South Wales and Victoria by the end of the year. This newest venture is supported by a partnership with industry powerhouse Paul Fischmann, owner and founder of the acclaimed 8Hotels.
