IHG and owners ISPT have welcomed the arrival of InterContinental Brisbane with the hotel now officially trading under the luxury brand.
The 319-room Elizabeth Street hotel promises new guest programming and service excellence with a two-year transformation project to elevate the luxury experience commencing in 2026.

“We are incredibly proud to now have a footprint in one of Australia’s most dynamic and fast-growing cities and are excited to welcome our first guests through our doors today,” said InterContinental Brisbane General Manager, Shaun Parsons.
“To be part of Brisbane’s transformation ahead of the 2032 Olympics and Paralympics is a privilege, particularly in helping to shape its tourism and hospitality scene by offering an exciting, culturally rich stay experience for local and international guests alike.”

The hotel transformation is part of ISPT’s vision to reimagine the Elizabeth Street precinct into “a vibrant hub, where world-class tourism, entertainment and dining seamlessly integrate into Brisbane’s CBD”.
InterContinental Brisbane spans 25 floors and features an outdoor lap pool, gymnasium, and expansive events spaces with 19 meeting rooms and one of the city’s largest ballrooms.

The new Latitude 27 Bar and Kitchen operates as an all-day restaurant and lobby bar, and a new Club InterContinental lounge on level 25 with river city views offers Club guests perks such as personalised check in, twilight drinks and canapes, and complimentary daily breakfast.
