Independent hotel operator Panache Hotel Group has peeled back the curtain on its latest refurbishment project at Peppers Docklands Melbourne.
The new look, spanning guest rooms, corridors, the lobby and public areas, blends “urban edge and refined sophistication”, with new carpets, fresh paintwork, sculptural LED lighting, refurbished doors and more.
Panache Hotel Group Chief Executive Officer, Wilson Bao, said the transformation is aimed at enhancing guest experience and hotel performance.

“Since taking over in 2024, we’ve taken a thoughtful and data-led approach – listening to our guests, understanding the property’s potential, and making targeted investments that deliver impact,” Bao said.
“The result is a fresh, future-ready Peppers Docklands that delivers on its premium brand promise while staying uniquely Melbourne.”

Mineral-inspired tones and high-performance materials have been used throughout, from light-filled public areas to more intimate zones with warm ambient lighting, bronze accents and tactile finishes.
The transformed lobby provides a dramatic arrival experience with sculptural full-height curved joinery, Italian natural marble, and hand-applied gold leaf walls.

“This thoughtful renovation not only elevates the overall guest experience, but also supports the ongoing growth of Melbourne’s visitor economy,” said Accor Pacific Chief Operating Officer, Adrian Williams.
“It also reinforces the strength of Peppers – a brand synonymous with delivering refined comfort, personal service and memorable stays in exceptional destinations across Australia, New Zealand and beyond.”

The next phase of the project will see the repositioning and rebranding of the hotel’s restaurant to draw greater business from hotel guests and locals.
