Disney Cruise Line has released a few new discounts recently, including a $250 onboard credit offer for DVC Members & Disney Visa Cardmembers that’s stackable with 30% off general public deal. There are currently several special offers, and this post shares a look at the options along with quick thoughts on more deals this year and in 2026.

The commentary portion is something we first covered in Rising Tide of Disney Cruise Line Discounts late last year that covered special offers for the first half of this year. I don’t want to rehash all of that, so the core thesis was that prices had skyrocketed for DCL over the last couple of years in the wake of lagged pent-up demand for cruising.

Once Disney Cruise Line dropped all of its health safety measures and pent-up demand arrived in full force, rates exploded and there’s been a lack of deals. Just like what happened with Walt Disney World during the height of revenge travel. The latest ‘deluge of discounts’ suggested that, just like the timeline for Walt Disney World going from no deals to aggressive ones, the tides are turning for Disney Cruise Line.

This makes sense. Pent-up demand didn’t arrive everywhere at the same time. We’ve frequently discussed how Walt Disney World saw revenge travel arrive earlier than Disneyland, owing to Florida’s faster reopening than California. It’s the same idea with domestic versus international travel, and the Asia parks, specifically.

It thus also makes sense that Disney Cruise Line would follow the same trajectory as Walt Disney World when it comes to special offers, just delayed by a couple of years. We went from discussing a ‘dearth of deals’ in 2022 to a deluge of them last year and return to the 2019 playbook this year. Walt Disney World is now on the backside of pent-up demand, and pulling levers to entice visitors to return.

It seems like a similar story with Disney Cruise Line for 2025. Another factor, presumably, is the new ships that are coming or have come online. Quite simply, Disney Cruise Line has more capacity now than it did in 2019. That’s already the case with the Wish and Treasure, and will be more so heading into 2026 with the Destiny and Adventure (the latter is probably less relevant since it serves a new market).

Finally, there’s another wildcard: a potential inbound slowdown that seems to be gaining momentum. International travel to the United States fell 14% in March compared with the same period last year, according to the the U.S. Travel Association. Perhaps unsurprisingly, the biggest dip in travel was from Canada, falling 20.2%. (Also unsurprising is that DCL is offering 25% off to entice Canadians.)

Recent reports have indicated that several international airlines are re-routing flights away from major U.S. airports, including Orlando. This could further impact DCL bookings…leading to more and better discounts in the future. Or it may not move the needle much. I don’t pretend to be an expert on Disney Cruise Line guest demographics, but I do know that the impact on Walt Disney World attendance as a result of the international travel decrease has been fairly negligible.

As always, we highly recommend working with an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. Be Our Guest Vacations is our preferred travel agency, and they have many agents with extensive cruise experience and expertise.

Using a travel agency is incredibly advantageous when it comes to cruising–most will provide on-board credits based upon the size of the booking, along with itinerary advice and suggestions for the cruise. They’ll also deal with Disney on your behalf and, speaking from experience, this can be invaluable when something goes wrong. Especially if, like me, you hate talking on the telephone.

Anyway, here’s a rundown of the 2025 Disney Cruise Line deals that are currently available…

This summer, Disney Visa Cardmembers can receive a $250 onboard credit when they book select cruises using their Disney Visa Card.

Disney Visa Cardmembers can book this offer now through September 1, 2025 for travel on select August and September 2025 sailings. Cardholders should call (800) 951-3532 or contact their travel agent for further details or to make a reservation (there’s no way of booking this online–what would normally be a “book now” button initiates a telephone call).

Alternatively, eligible Disney Vacation Club Members can receive a $250 onboard credit for use aboard the Disney Wish on select Bahamian sailings when using points, cash, or both. Here’s a list of eligible sailings:

3-Night Bahamian Cruise from Port Canaveral

  • August 1 – 4, 2025
  • August 29 – September 1, 2025

4-Night Bahamian Cruise from Port Canaveral

  • August 4 – 8, 2025
  • August 11 – 15, 2025
  • August 18 – 22, 2025
  • September 1 – 5, 2025
  • September 8 – 12, 2025 (Halloween on the High Seas)
  • September 15 – 19, 2025 (Halloween on the High Seas)

I’m going to go out on a limb and assume the eligible sailings are exactly the same for Disney Visa Cardmembers, potentially saving you a phone call. Also, DVC Members can combine this onboard credit with the Guaranteed Stateroom with Restrictions offer to save up to 30% on select sailings (see below).

This is an ongoing offer that is, generally speaking, for last-minute cruises with unsold staterooms. As of right now, you’re most likely to find options for now through September 2025, with most discounts on Bahamas cruises. Here’s the list of eligible itineraries.

With that said, there are a couple for Europe and one discounted Norwegian Fjords sailing. If you can swing that, we highly recommend the Norway itinerary–it’s our #1 DCL sailing of all-time. We cannot wait until our daughter is a little older, at which point we’ll absolutely be doing that cruise again!

The Disney Wonder is returning to Australia and New Zealand for another incredible season of magic. That covers it for the general public special offers. There are also targeted discounts for Florida residents, Canada residents, and members of the military. I assume there are even better deals for Cast Members, too. If you fall into any of those categories, you really should check what’s available.
