Wyndham Hotels and Resorts’ economy brand Days Inn is experiencing strong growth in China, marking the opening of its 100th hotel with the opening of Days Inn by Wyndham Shantou Jinping.

The brand now spans approximately 60 major cities across China including Beijing, Chengdu and Harbin.

Days Inn has averaged double-digit net room growth in China over the last five years, contributing to a 14% increase in Wyndham’s overall direct franchising business over the same period.

The brand’s pipeline in China has expanded 25% year-over-year through the end of the first quarter.

Wyndham’s direct franchise business growth has generated strong returns, doubling FeePAR since 2018.

“Wyndham has a leading footprint in China, and we intend to build on that strong foothold in the years ahead,” said Wyndham Hotels and Resorts President, Asia Pacific, Joon Aun Ooi.

“With Days Inn, we’re offering a quality, reliable brand that suits the needs of owners and guests, all powered by the backing of the world’s largest hotel franchisor.

“As we continue to showcase the value Wyndham can bring to owners in China, we have a runway to grow and succeed in one of the most dynamic tourism industries in the world.”
